I have worked professionally as a theatrical milliner and costume prop maker for over twenty nine years, both in-house and freelance. I collaborate closely with costume designers, costume supervisors and production teams to turn designs and ideas into beautifully made, practical pieces for performance. From historically accurate period millinery to fantasy headdresses and unusual costume props, I love the challenge of bringing a designers vision to life. I work from my home studio based in North Leeds, West Yorkshire and often work remotely on projects.

Alongside my professional practice I have also shared my millinery and costume prop knowledge through teaching. I was an Associate Lecturer teaching BA Millinery Electives at Leeds College of Art for three years and have also taught millinery and costume special effects at the Northern College of Costume and Hull College
