The Ascot Racecourse, founded in 1711by Queen Anne hosts world renowned horse racing events attracting hundreds of visitors from all over the world. Every year in June, Royal Ascot holds prestigious horse race meetings with a strong sense of tradition, pageantry and fashion. Attended by the Royal family it is a highlight of the horse racing calender. There are several rules to adhere to in terms of outfits and in particular millinery. If you are attending the ROYAL ENCLOSURE you must wear a HAT but a HATINATOR or HEADPIECE with a minimum diameter of 4 inches/10cm is acceptable. If you are attending the QUEEN ANNE ENCLOSURE or the VILLAGE ENCLOSURE then you must wear a HAT, HEADPIECE or FASCINATOR (no minimum measurement required)
